Three Henning residents were injured by glass shards after their Plymouth Voyager hit a deer on County Highway 50 Thursday afternoon.

Around 3 p.m., Maria Anthony, 40, was driving the Voyager east on the highway, just west of County Highway 67. A deer ran out and was hit by the vehicle, causing the windshield to completely collapse and spray glass shards on the occupants.

Anthony and Christopher Skiles, 23, most received minor cuts but refused medical attention. Ervin Anthony, 65, complained of chest pain after the accident and was taken by ambulance to Tri-County Hospital.
