Underwood School to expand

Published 10:49am Friday, August 10, 2012

Underwood high school students will soon see smaller class sizes and more advanced learning opportunities.

Construction is underway on the expansion project that will provide the school with two new high school classrooms.

After looking at enrollment trends and curriculum needs, the school board decided it was necessary to add onto the school to provide classrooms for Advanced Placement and college level classes.

Gopher State is handling construction, and there will be no additional taxes to Underwood residents because the addition is being paid for out of school reserve funds. The project is expected to be complete by November 1, the Battle Lake Review reported.
