Thomas “Tom” Russell Rasmusson, 23, of Fergus Falls, died Friday, Aug. 10, 2012.

He was born Jan. 3, 1989, in Fergus Falls, the son of Joe and Gail (Hoeper) Rasmusson. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Elizabeth and attended Fergus Falls High School where he played football, wrestled and participated in BMX racing.

Tom worked for Road Side Salvage, worked in construction, was employed by A-1 Seal Coating in Fargo, and most recently worked for Jerry’s Auto Body in Fergus Falls.

He loved to hunt, fish, snowmobile, ride dirt bike, work on his cars and spend time with his nieces.

Tom had a big heart and was a fun loving guy who tried to make everyone happy with his good sense of humor.

Preceding him in death were his grandfathers, Oren Hoeper and Russell Fiskum, and two uncles Jeff Hoeper and Geoff Rasmusson.

Survivors include his mother, Gail (Allen) Rocholl of Fergus Falls; his father, Joe (Gene) Rasmusson of West St. Paul; four sisters, Tara Rasmusson, who is his twin, Shaina Hogue, Jasmine Rocholl and Maddison Rocholl all of Fergus Falls; two nieces, BrookeLynn and Nevaeh; grandparents, Evelyn Hoeper of Fergus Falls, Carol Fiskum of Vining, Carl and Renae Rocholl of Elizabeth and Inge and Karlheinz Krause of Fergus Falls; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation: Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m., with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m., at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church

Service: 11 a.m. Thursday, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Elizabeth

Clergy: Father Jeff Ethen

Burial: St. Elizabeth Catholic Cemetery, Elizabeth
