A Battle Lake man now has no proof through the night that his flag is still there, due to the theft of a spotlight from his home.

The man, who lives at 28583 State Highway 78, had mounted the spotlight on his mailbox in order to shine it on his flagpole overnight.

He reported it missing Monday around 10 a.m.

There are no suspects at this time.
