Short chase ends with arrest [UPDATED]

A short car chase on Leaf River Road north of Henning ended with Mitchell Lee Peterson, 21, in the Otter Tail County Detention Facility at around 10 p.m. Tuesday night.

What should have been an ordinary traffic stop for speeding turned into a chase.

Peterson, of Henning, turned his headlights off and drove down a private driveway in his attempt flee from authorities. Peterson was eventually caught and arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.
