Council candidate hits pedestrian

City council candidate Timothy King, 51, struck a pedestrian, Erin Bikesen, 36, with his Chevy Silverado while he was driving through the intersection of Cascade and Washington.

King was driving westbound on Washington Avenue at about 8 p.m. Thursday.

When he approached Cascade, the sun blinded him and he struck Bikesen with the passenger side mirror as he crossed the intersection.

Bikesen was taken to Lake Region Healthcare by Ringdahl ambulance for minor injuries.
