What’s Happening? Aug. 17 – 19

With events including the Woodie Camp, National Barrel Horse Association state final show, Watermelon Day, the Pebble Lake Club Championship Tournament, the New York Mills Corn Feed and the Augustana Music Festival, this weekend will provide plenty of opportunities.

New York Mills will host several events this weekend including a corn feed and the Continental Divide Music and Film Festival.

Vining Watermelon Day will feature the annual Run for the Melon, free watermelon, a parade and live music.

Friday

• National Barrel Horse Association state final show at the Red Horse Ranch Arena

• Woodie Camp at the Prairie Wetlands Learning Center

• Tag Monarch Butterflies, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Prairie Wetlands Learning Center

• KaddyShack Chamber of Commerce golf scramble, 1 p.m. start at Pebble Lake Golf Course

• Annual Corn Feed Festival, 4 to 7 p.m. at Central Park in New York Mills

• Continental Divide Music and Film Festival, 4 to 10 p.m. at the New York Mills Cultural Center

• Heart O’ Lakes Banquet, 5 to 9 p.m. at Hillbillies Vittles and Brew in Erhard

• Stock Car Races, 7 to 10 p.m. at I-94 Speedway

Saturday

• Vining Watermelon Day: Run for the Melon, 8 a.m.; Free watermelon, 11 a.m.; Parade, 7 p.m.

• Monarch Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Prairie Wetlands Learning Center

• Central Lakes Trail Guided Ride, 10 a.m. to noon beginning at Dalton’s Park

• NBHA state final show at the Red Horse Ranch Arena

• Woodie Camp at the Prairie Wetlands Learning Center

• Club Championship Tournament at Pebble Lake Golf Course

• Augustana Music Festival, 2 to 10 p.m. at Augustana Lutheran Church

• Continental Divide Music and Film Festival, 4 to 10 p.m. at the New York Mills Cultural Center

Sunday

• NBHA state final show at the Red Horse Ranch Arena
