A level three predatory offender is moving to rural Pelican Rapids on Thursday, the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office reported today.

James Allen Sleen, 35, will be living on the 39000 block of 170th Avenue. He has served his sentence and is not wanted by law enforcement. The sheriff’s office did not say whether or not he would be on supervised or unsupervised release.

According to law enforcement information, Sleen has a history of sexual contact with female victims under the age of 16.

More information about Sleen will be available at a 6 p.m. community notification meeting Thursday at the Pelican Rapids Public Library. Sheriff’s office and state department of corrections officials will be on hand to answer questions.

Predatory offenders assigned a level three classification are deemed to have a higher risk to reoffend than other offenders
