Man behaves bizarrely in Dalton [UPDATED]

A 32-year-old Dalton man was arrested in Dalton after he allegedly tried to start a gas pump on fire.

Around 11 p.m., a caller reported that Amund Haarstad was creating a disturbance and sitting on a gas pump, trying to start it on fire. Deputies arrived and subdued Haarstad, taking him into custody for disorderly conduct and obstructing the legal process.

No fire was started. It is unknown at this time if Haarstad was intoxicated.
