Vikings win opener over Park Christian

MOORHEAD — The Pelican Rapids Vikings claimed an opening season win as they defeated the Park Christian Falcons (25-14, 25-13, 22-25, 25-18) in four sets Tuesday.exciting

“Overall, I was very pleased with the girls’ defensive effort tonight,” Vikings coach Heidi Isaman said. “They played hard and communicated quite well.”

Kendra Weinrich led the Vikings with 13 kills, while teammate Lizzie Pfeifle collected 15 digs in the match.

The Vikings will be back in action Thursday as they take on Hillcrest Lutheran Academy at home at 7:30 p.m.
