Jeanette Faith Osborne was born Aug. 13, 1959, at home in Jackson, N.J., the daughter of Henry and Lorraine (Schleske) Osborne Jensen and Ray Jensen. Jeanette came into this world a tiny, six-pound pink, little girl, receiving the nickname “Pinky” as she grew up her nicknames changed with her.
As a toddler, because of her lanky frame, long arms and legs, and her love for climbing trees, she became known as “Spider Monkey.”
As an adult, she became affectionately known as “Nettie” and “Tuggy.” She graduated from Pelican Rapids High School in l977, and attended Brainerd Central College for two years in horticulture.
After working for a short time, she moved to Port Aransas, Texas in the early 80′s and worked at Austin Air Balancing in Austin, Texas. Jeanette was married and the mother of one child.
She moved back to Minnesota in 1997 and worked at Bergen’s Greenhouses and Garden Center in Detroit Lakes, and American Steel Company in Fargo.
Jeanette loved the outdoors, whether it was planting flowers or gardening with her mom, whom was always her best friend. She was a very talented handyman, fixing things from plumbing to car repair and every little thing in between.
Jeanette was giving of herself, she would give her last dollar to anyone in need, whether it be family, friend, or a complete stranger. Her genuine love for young and old alike, led her to be a caregiver for her great-aunt, Celia, until the time of Celia’s passing.
Jeanette had a true gift for making everyone feel important. Even on days when she herself wasn’t feeling so well, she would always offer to rub your back or feet; showing her true concern for others.
