SARTELL — A tough second half saw the Sartell Sabres pick up a 3-1 victory over the visiting Fergus Falls Otter girls soccer team Thursday.

The Otters got their lone goal of the afternoon as Lauren Norgren one touched a pass from Tessa Haggstrom into the back of the Sabres net leaving the score a 1-0 going into the half.

The Sabres would find their spark in the second half as they tied the game at the 50 minute mark and booted in two more goals in the last 15 minutes of play.

“We just seemed to lose our legs in the second half,” Otters coach Karoline Gustafson said. “We’ve had to become somewhat creative on our back line due to some injuries so we had some kids playing out of position.”

The Otters will look to get back on track as they host Sauk Rapids-Rice Tuesday at 5 p.m.
