Tipsinah Campground rates to stay the same

A motion to not raise rates at Tipsinah Mounds Campground for 2013 was passed by the Elbow Lake City Council by a 3-2 vote, the Grant County Herald reported.

For the last several years, the city-owned campground on Pomme de Terre Lake has been increasing camping rates by about four percent each year, but the campground committee decided they didn’t want to make another increase for next year.

Two council members voted against the rate freeze because Tipsinah Mounds Campground’s rates are still lower than many others in the area.
