After denying the request in June because of lack of information, the county board approved the acquisition of wildlife management area on East Lost Lake Tuesday.

The acquisition will include 22.4 acres of land on the west shoreline of the lake to serve as a wildlife management area through the Reinvest in Minnesota program. Twenty percent of the land will be donated by a landowner.
