Spartans swat Yellowjackets 3-1

The M State Spartan volleyball team finished their road trip over the weekend with a 3-1 victory over the Rochester Community College Yellowjackets (25-18,20-25,25-23,25-23).

The Spartans were led by an offensive attack of Kaitlin Timian, Morgan Kapphahn and Christine Moenkedick produced a combine total of 35 kills.

M State libero Gretchen Freed had a team high 24 digs in the contest, while teammate Aria Walstad had 18 assists in the win.

The Spartans will be back on their home court Wednesday as they host Anoka-Ramsey Rams at 6:30 p.m.
