Chargers get first win over Battlers
Published 9:51am Wednesday, September 5, 2012EVANSVILLE — The Brandon-Evansville Chargers were able to capture a 3-2 victory over the visiting Battle Lake Battlers Tuesday.
“It was great to get our first win of the season tonight against Battle Lake who was extremely resilient,” Chargers’ coach Kelly Olson said. “A very exciting match that saw close play throughout, culminating in a 19-17 final set for us. I was very happy to see smiling faces at the end.”
The Chargers will look to keep the ball rolling as they travel to Underwood for a 7:30 p.m. matchup Thursday, while the Battlers will look for their first win against New York Mills at home Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
