City OKs art in new roundabout

When the Tower Road bridge is complete and the new highway comes to town, a proposed art project could have many motorists looking to their left.

The city council approved the Arts Commission’s proposal to pursue funding and seek artists to construct a sculpture within the roundabout, which will be located at the intersection of Alcott Avenue, Tower Road, County Road 1 and County Road 15.

Although they have been approved to begin the process, the Arts Commission will still need the council’s approval again before anything can be constructed.
