Vehicle stolen from Bancroft [UPDATED]
Published 12:36pm Wednesday, September 5, 2012 Updated 1:18pm Friday, September 7, 2012A suspect is still at large after stealing a vehicle on Tuesday night.
A 1996 Volkswagen Golf was reported stolen from the 400 block of Bancroft Avenue at around 8:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 4.
At about 9 p.m. police received a suspicious activity call near the intersection of Vernon and Peck streets.
Police searched the area and found the vehicle but could not find the suspect.
Police say they don’t think the thief had any connection to the car owner.
The case is under investigation.
Pedestrian struck
on Pebble Lake Road
A pedestrian was crossing Pebble Lake Road from Take 5 to The Jewel Motel when he was struck by a vehicle at around 9:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31.
A driver was driving south on the inside lane when she struck the man crossing the road. The pedestrian was transported to Lake Region Healthcare by Ringdahl Ambulance.
He suffered injuries throughout the body, but the extent of the injuries are unknown.
Two injured
in crash near Perham
Two people were injured in a vehicle accident at the intersection of State Highway 10 and County Road 53 at about 1:20 p.m. on Monday.
A Ford van was driving east on Highway 10 when it broadsided a Ford pickup driving southbound on County Road 53.
The van then entered the ditch and overturned.
The driver and passenger from the van were taken to Perham Hospital by Perham Ambulance. Injuries do not appear to be life threatening.
