Intruder caught at Ashby Hardware Hank

Law enforcement had rifles drawn outside Hardware Hank in Ashby in an attempt to secure the area and evacuate the family living above the business after an intruder was reported inside the building at 6 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 2.

Responding to the scene were law enforcement personnel from the Ashby Police Department, Grant County Sheriff’s Office, Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office, Douglas County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit, Minnesota State Patrol and Conservation Office, the Ashby Dalton Post reported.

The intruder was found in a bedroom above the store. He has been identified as a 28-year-old male from Fergus Falls.
