Kathleen “Jean” Hanson, 80, of Fergus Falls

Kathleen Jean Hanson was born July 3, 1932, at Bertha, to Harry Edwin and Annie Almira (McAllister) Harlow. She was baptized and confirmed in the Congregational Church in Bertha. Jean attended Bertha High School graduating in 1950.
Jean married Alonzo Lucius Hanson on June 24, 1951, at the Congregational Church in Bertha. After their marriage they lived in Dalton.
Jean was a homemaker and worked with Creative Catering for many years.
In 2008, she moved to Fergus Falls and in April of 2012, she moved to Broen Home.
Jean enjoyed quilting with the ladies on Tuesday mornings, the Minnesota Twins and Vikings. She loved having visits with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Jean volunteered at Lake Region Hospital and Otter Tail County food shelf. She was a member of Our Saviors Ten Mile Lake Church of Dalton and Dalton Legion Auxiliary.
Survivors include her children, Teresa Akerman of Ashby, Candace Borgos of Elbow Lake, Kraig Hanson of Fergus Falls and Pamela (Daniel) Reger of Clitherall; nine grandchildren, Lisa (Rich) Williams, McKenna and Sienna, Liane (Brad Biesterfeld) Akerman, Sara (Aaron Holden) Borgos, Joseph (Kim) Borgos, Emma, Lillian, Aubrey and Jackson, Amanda (Jarod Burelson) Borgos, Lucas Hanson, Kayla Reger, Timothy Reger and Elizabeth Reger; one brother, Roland (Donna) Harlow of Fergus Falls; a sister-in-law, Priscilla Harlow of Wadena; brother-in-law, Carl Murawski of Fergus Falls; sisters and brothers-in-law, Harold and Dorraine Woessner of Ottertail and Jerry and Eunice Hanson of Waseca; and by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Visitation: Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m., with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the funeral home, and one hour prior to the service at church
Service: 1 p.m. Monday, at Our Saviors Ten Mile Lake Church, Dalton
