Many will gather at Glendalough State Park this weekend to celebrate the 60th anniversary of a visit from Dwight D Eisenhower.

The visit was one of the stops on Eisenhower’s 1952 campaign tour through Minnesota. On Saturday, Glendalough will host a short presentation remembering Eisenhower’s visit.

The 11 a.m. presentation will be followed by a tour of the Glendalough lodge where Ike stayed.

Although the program is free, visitors will be required to purchase a $5 one-day vehicle permit to enter the park.
