Dr. Randy Kempfer joins InVision Eye Care in FF [UPDATED]

Dr. Kempfer has been practicing with Minnesota Eye Care Network in Pelican Rapids, Perham and Barnesville since November 2006. Dr. Kempfer is originally from Foxhome and graduated from high school in Breckenridge. He then attended North Dakota State University in Fargo, and attended Pacific University College of Optometry near Portland, Ore., where he earned his Doctorate of Optometry degree. During his education, Dr. Kempfer completed additional training in ocular disease and special testing at the Marshfield Clinic, in Marshfield WI and the Blackwell Vision Center in Blackwell, Okla.
At these training centers Dr. Kempfer gained extensive experience in ocular disease diagnosis and treatment providing state of the art care, including the use of specialized contact lenses that correct your prescription while you sleep by reshaping the cornea. During Dr. Kempfer’s training, he worked on the development of the MaxSight Tinted Contact lens used to enhance professional and amateur athletic performance. Dr. Kempfer’s primary interests are contact lenses, primary eye care, ocular disease diagnosis and treatment, as well as surgical evaluation and post operative care, along with geriatric care.
Dr. Kempfer currently resides in Fergus Falls with his wife, Tara and son, Henry. Dr. Kempfer is an avid Twins Fans. He enjoys the outdoors, playing golf, reading, fishing, hunting, and gourmet cooking. Dr. Kempfer is currently an active Rotary member in Pelican Rapids, a Lions member in Barnesville and involved with the Minnesota Optometric Association as the chairperson for the education committee.
Dr. Kempfer will be joining Drs. Denise Hanson and Tara Kempfer in providing patient care in Fergus Falls on Wednesdays, starting Sept. 26.
Dr. Kempfer is looking forward to being a more active member of the community.
