The Fergus Falls Otter bowling team kicked off their season as they hosted the first Western Central Conference meet of the year at Northern Aire Lanes Saturday.

The Otters looked to improve on last year’s results as they looked to defend their conference title.

Fergus was able to beat Detroit Lakes and New York Mills, but could not get a clean sweep as they dropped a close match against Wadena.

Wyatt Swenson led the Fergus team with an 83 percent fill ratio, while teammate Andrew Bolland came in second with 68 percent.

The Otter rollers will look to continue their work Saturday as they travel to New York Mills for an 11:45 a.m. start time.
