EVANSVILLE — The hosting Brandon-Evansville Chargers got the best of the Ashby Arrows winning in three sets Tuesday (25-22, 25-22, 25-19).

“I was still pleased with the play of my team,” Arrows coach Brenda Johnson said. “This team is very athletic and has a lot of potential.”

Megan Friedrich led the attack for the Chargers recording six kills, while teammate Caroline Jansen chipped in five.

Ashby’s Cassandra Jordan was perfect from the service line going 16 for 16 in the game.

The Chargers will look to keep their string of wins going as they host Rothsay in a LEC battle Thursday at 7:30 p.m., while the Arrows will hit the road to take on Wheaton/Herman-Norcross Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
