Counterfeit bills discovered [UPDATED]

Personnel at Bremer Bank in Fergus Falls discovered two Counterfeit $20 bills Tuesday.

Police don’t believe they’ll be able track the bills, as they weren’t discovered until they were put through the bank’s counting machine.

The fakes were well-made, police said, so it might be hard for many people to tell at first glance that they weren’t real.

Police recently received a report of a Counterfeit $100 bill, but the two cases don’t appear to be related.

Fergus Falls gets a fair amount of Counterfeit bill cases every year, and police said such cases should serve as a reminder to businesses to use their Counterfeit detector pens.
