Cards beat Otter swimmers 103-83

The Fergus Falls Otters welcomed in Central Lakes Conference rival Willmar to the Kennedy Secondary pool Thursday evening. With strong performances by both teams, the Cardinals were able to come out on top 103-83.

The Otters had several multi-winners at the meet.

Dani Ross picked up two individual wins (100 freestyle 58.20; 50 freestyle 26.64), while also competing with winning teams of Abby Fisher, Emily Hexum and Rachel Appert in the 200 Medley Relay (1:59.65) and Fisher, Appert and Elise Anderson in the 400 freestyle relay (3:59.90).

Fisher took home two individual firsts in the 100 backstroke (1:03.70) and the 100 butterfly (1:05.45).

Emilie Reard also claimed a first for the Otters in the 200 IM with a time of 2:31.00 and picked up a second place finish in the 100 breaststroke (1:16.88).

The 200 Medley Relay team of Reard, Emily Hauck, Caitlyn Colbeck and Anne Childs finished second with a time of 2:07.51.

Childs would also take second in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:10.90.

In diving, Appert claimed a second place finish with a score of 179.40.

The Otters will back in action Tuesday as they travel to take on the Moorhead Spuds at 6 p.m.
