Man charged in Kent stabbing

A man has been charged in the Sept. 7 stabbing that took place in Kent, Wilkin County authorities reported today.Owen

Scott Wayne Vaughn, of Kent, has been charged with second degree assault and is being held in the Wilkin County Jail on $20,000 bail. Vaughn was arrested the weekend of the assault, but the county sheriff’s office reported at the time that it was for unrelated reasons.

The man whose throat was cut early Sept. 7 was rushed to the St. Francis Medical Center, where he underwent surgery and was released.
