16-year-old male swerves to avoid animal, ends up in water

A 16-year-old male is uninjured after driving his pickup into a pond Thursday night.

The teen was driving a 1997 Ford pickup east on County Highway 122 near Underwood when he swerved to avoid an animal. The pickup went into the ditch and ended up in two to three feet of water.

The vehicle sustained heavy water damage, the teen was uninjured.
