After three years off the list, Otter Tail County is once again in the top 13 counties for alcohol related driving incidents. As a result, the county has received a grant that will boost DWI enforcement.
The Toward Zero Deaths Enforcement Grant will provide the county with a total of $45,615, and $20,160 will go directly toward DWI enforcement. The rest of the funding will be used to help with seat belt and speed enforcement along with additional equipment and overtime funding.
The grant will cover police departments in Fergus Falls, Pelican Rapids, Perham, New York Mills, Henning, Battle Lake and Parkers Prairie.
