ESKRINE — The Win-E-Mac Patriots were able to make it an unpleasant road trip for the Rothsay Tigers as the home team won 56-16 Friday.

The Patriots jumped out to a 33-0 lead after the first quarter.

The Tigers mounted a comeback as quarterback Noah Brenden hooked up with Brett Brenden for two third quarter touchdown passes. It proved to be too little, too late as Win-E-Mac picked up the victory.

“The Patriots are a well-coached team of extremely hungry players in every position,” Tigers coach Andrew Oland said. “After witnessing their efforts first hand, they might be the team to beat in the North Tri-County Conference.”

The Tigers will host their homecoming game against Park Christian Friday at 7 p.m.
