Warriors down Spartans

The M State Spartans early score was all they would get as the visiting Ridgewater Warriors defeated the home town team 28-6 Saturday afternoon.

The Spartans were able to take the opening drive 69 yards for a touchdown off a Logan Connelly 23 yard reception.

The rest of the game was the Warriors as the M State offense sputtered for the remainder of the game.

Ridgewater would take a 14-6 lead at halftime and follow with two more touchdowns in the second half for the win.

Defensive player Zach Taylor had two interceptions for M State, while Andrew Bond recovered a fumble.

The Spartan will now travel to take on the Central Lakes CC Raiders Saturday at 1 p.m. in Brainerd.
