It was easy for deputies to track down a man believed to have been involved in a DWI accident.

After all, they had his driver’s license.

According to the sheriff’s office, two vehicles were involved in a minor collision at the intersection of County Highway 116 and State Highway 210 shortly after midnight.

One of the men called law enforcement to say that while the two were exchanging insurance information, the other man gave the first man his driver’s license and then drove away. The license allegedly identified the man as Michael Scott Jacobs, 40, of Fergus Falls.

Jacobs was located and arrested in the early morning today just northwest of city limits at an address on County Highway 88. When deputies found him, they determined that he was intoxicated.
