ROTHSAY — The Tigers were able to defend their home court Thursday against Little Eight Conference foe Hillcrest Comets, winning in three sets (25-9, 25-16, 25-8).

“We came out strong and continued to play well throughout tonight’s match,” Tiger coach Heather Reber said. “We worked together as a team and were successful getting the ball set up offensively.”

Rothsay’s Caitlin Simmer had a good night on the court recording eight kills and two blocks, while teammate Ashley Maack had five service aces and 18 set assists in the win.

The Tigers will travel to take on the Underwood Rockets Tuesday at 7:30 p.m., while the Comets are still in search of their first victory and will host Parkers Prairie Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
