Chargers jolt Battlers

BATTLE LAKE — The Brandon-Evansville Chargers took a three set victory over the hosting Battle Lake Battlers Tuesday (25-21, 25-13, 25-23).

“We played a bit sluggish at times, but never dug ourselves a hole which was great to see,” Charger coach Kelly Olson. “I like our steady improvement as each week’s matches come. I also like how we are recognizing the small things we do that are holding us back from playing a full match at top form.”

Megan Friedrich led the Chargers with 10 kills in the game, while teammate Megan Kockett had 25 digs.

The Chargers will look to keep the ball rolling as they travel to take on Parkers Prairie Thursday at 7:30 p.m., while the Battlers will look to stop their losing skid as they travel to take on the Hillcrest Comets Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
