The forum will feature a question and answer session with candidates and a two minute timeframe for candidates to introduce themselves to the audience.
“We believe that people from the community will find the forum interesting and beneficial” said facility administrator Jim Wolf,
“With the looming crisis of the impending aging of baby boomers in Minnesota, it is vital that we have a legislature that appreciates the work that is done in our facilities by personal care staff throughout the state. We must acknowledge and be willing to solve this growing challenge through funding and other creative solutions,” Wolf continued.
A lunch will be provided all participants while the forum continues throughout the noon-hour. The forum will be held in conjunction with the Long-Term Care Imperitive, a joint coalition of Care Providers of Minnesota and the Minnesota Health and Housing Alliance. The state’s two trade associations represent nursing homes, assisted living/housing-with-services providers, and other long-term care providers.
