Cost Cutters to close WestRidge Mall store

Published 9:50am Wednesday, September 26, 2012 Updated 11:53am Wednesday, September 26, 2012

Fergus Falls will be losing its Cost Cutters next month when the salon closes its location in the WestRidge Mall.

“The last day there will be (Oct.) 18,” confirmed Heather Kugler, one of the stylists at Cost Cutters, a long-time WestRidge business.

Through closing day, the salon will be operating under the recently-established hours of 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. The salon will be closed Sundays and Mondays.

Kugler would not comment on why Cost Cutters was closing, and a call seeking information from parent company Regis Corporation was not returned. Kugler noted that customers used to the stylists currently working at Cost Cutters can follow both of them out to Smart Style at Walmart once Cost Cutters closes.

Regis Hairstylists, also located in the mall, confirmed that it has no plans to close or leave WestRidge.

i would challenge everyone in town to grow a brain and stop shopping at wal*mart. the whole place is an ugly mole on the outskirts of town that does nothing for the town.

ohhh… you LIKE cheap junk, i guess we have a difference of opinion.

unfortunately, there is a brainwashed many who think putting on their sunday clothes and heading to wal*mart to load up a cart with $3 DVDs and other GARBAGE they don’t need is a “good time.” it’s sad, really.

how’s that wall of dvd’s working out for you? real nice home decor selection.
