Published 8:45am Thursday, September 20, 2012 Updated 11:46am Thursday, September 20, 2012

The North Country Trail Association (NCTA) will be hosting a family-friendly guided “Fall Color” hike to Hallaway Hill at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29 at Maplewood State Park.

Participants should meet at the Josh Hanson Memorial Picnic Shelter at 9am for the 0.8 mile round trip hike that will offer fantastic views of the fall foliage.

The hike is free, but State Park admission requirements apply. Strollers are not advised on this hike because of numerous steps along the trail. Hikers may want to stick around after the hike to take part in the Friends of Maplewood’s Leaf Days event.

If you are interested in learning more about this hike, feel free to contact Matthew Davis at (701) 388-1883 /
