A man on the Lakeland Hospice Motorcycle Run was injured Saturday around 2:30 p.m. when he collided with a car near the Douglas and Pope county line.

According to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, the crash occurred on Douglas County Road 7 after a southbound Curtis Osborn, 59, of Wahpeton, crossed the center line. His motorcycle hit a northbound vehicle driven by Debra Nygaard, 50, of Farwell.

Osborn, who was not wearing a helmet, went into the west ditch along with his motorcycle. He was treated at the scene but required transport by air to the St. Cloud Hospital, where the sheriff’s office said he is in stable condition. Nygaard and a passenger were uninjured.

Osborn was riding in the annual Lakeland Hospice Motorcycle Run, which begins in Fergus Falls.
