PELICAN RAPIDS — The Vikings celebrated a homecoming win over the Breckenridge Cowgirls Tuesday night (25-15, 25-19, 25-23).

Pelican Rapids came out aggressively, winning the first two sets over a tough competitor.

Set three saw the home team battle back from 10 points down to claim a slim 25-23 set win and the match.

“I was proud of the girls tonight,” Pelican Rapids coach Heidi Isaman said. “It is never easy to beat a team twice and after not playing our best last week, we knew we had to find a way to click as a team again. The girls seemed to have a great time tonight was a great way to start our homecoming week.”

Alyssa Huseby led the Viking girls on the attack with eight kills, while teammate Lincoln Haiby had seven in the win.

The Vikings will travel to Glyndon to take on Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
