What’s happening Sept. 28-30

Fall is here, and there are many events going on this weekend that will celebrate the season.

Grace Lutheran Church and Tordenskjold Free Lutheran Church will both hold their annual fall Bazaars on Saturday.

The Blue Jean Ball will be a fly-in drive-in event at the Pride of the Prairie Municipal Airport in Elbow Lake. There will be a pork chop dinner, brats, burgers and musical entertainment by Orlo Thompson and Studebaker.

The weekend will wrap up with a concert series performance by “Take Me Home,” who will perform the music of John Denver.

The following is a list of some of this weekend’s events.

 

Friday

• Assorted mum sale fundraiser for girls Otter hockey, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Service Food parking lot

 

Saturday

• National Public Lands Day, 8 to 11 a.m. at the Prairie Wetlands Learning Center

• Assorted mum sale fundraiser for girls Otter hockey, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Service Food parking lot

• Family Fall Color Hike, 9 to 11 a.m. at Maplewood State Park

• Grace Lutheran Church Fall Bazaar, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Erhard

• The Festival of Falling Leaves Bazaar, 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Tordenskjold Free Lutheran Church

• Blue Jean Ball, 3 to 11:30 p.m. at the Elbow Lake Pride of the Prairie Airport

• Talk of the Town, 6 to 9 p.m. at M State’s Legacy Hall

 

Sunday

• Concert Series: Take Me Home, The music of John Denver, 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. at the Kennedy Secondary School auditorium
