The Hillcrest Comets were able to get back in the win column Friday behind quarterback Dalton Tostenson as they defeated the Carlton Bulldogs 51-13.

The first half of play was all Comets as they took a 30-0 lead into the break.

Carlton would leave their mark in the third quarter as they found the endzone twice on two runs.

Hillcrest would put the game out of reach as they scored 21 points in the second half to get the victory.

Good night for us as we were able to work on our passing game,” Comet coach Charlie Brue said. “Dalton also gained some confidence as a runner.”

Tostenson led the Comets on the ground and in the air with 145 yards rushing on three attempts for two touchdowns and going 13 for 22 with 275 yards and two touchdowns.

The Comets will host rival Underwood Friday at 7 p.m.
