The M State offense was unable to get anything going Saturday as the visiting Rochester Yellowjackets spoiled the Spartans homecoming with a 40-0 win.

The Spartans played tough against their Southern Division rival, but went into the half with a 19-0 deficit.

The second half wasn’t any better for the M State team as the Yellowjackets were able to score three fourth quarter touchdowns to get the victory.

M State struggled on offense as they gained just 76 yards. Hayden Zenner led the Spartan s with 45 yards on nine carries, while running back Victor Lumley had two catches for 32 yards.

The Spartans (1-5) will look to end the season on a high note as they finish their road schedule against Minnesota West CC in Worthington Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
