ST. CLOUD — The Fergus Falls Otter girls ended their regular season with a tough loss to St. Cloud Tech 3-1.mental

The Tigers jumped on the board first with a goal at the 10 minute mark off a free kick.

The Otters were able to respond four minutes later as Nikki Ellingson dropped a ball in the box and Brittany Kollman was their to get a foot on it to knot the game up at one apiece.

The second half was all Tech as the Tigers were able to take the lead six minutes into the half.

St. Cloud would add another goal late in the match to seal the victory.

“The girls played well again tonight,” Otter coach Karoline Gustafson. “It was a disappointing loss with how we outplayed Tech, especially in the second half.

The Otters were able to put 12 shots on net in the game.

“The girls have worked very hard this week and have done some very nice things that we have been trying to stress all year. It is good to see them finally clicking at this important part of the season,” added Gustafson.

The Otters (3-12-1) will now wait to find out who they play Thursday in the Section 8A tournament.
