Battle Lake accepting natural gas sign-ups

Published 11:05am Friday, October 5, 2012

With a goal of reaching about 500 customers, Battle Lake is now accepting natural gas service sign-ups. The number of residents who sign up for the service will determine whether or not the utility project will continue.

An public meeting was held Sept. 26 to discuss the issue, and information was mailed out to everyone within the service area to help residents make an informed decision about the utility.

More information can be provided at an open house/forum Oct. 8 between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. Interest in the project will be evaluated in the coming few weeks to determine how the project will proceed, the Battle Lake Review reported.
