Richard Herness, died Friday, Oct. 5, at the Douglas County Hospital in Alexandria..

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10 at the Bethel Lutheran Church, rural Battle Lake with Rev. Todd Hylden officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. The burial will be in the church cemetery, and the Glende-Nilson Funeral Home of Ashby is in charge of the arrangements for Richard Herness.
