An alleged car thief from Moorhead didn’t have his stolen ride for long before he was picked up by the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office on Sunday, law enforcement reported.
Around 2:30 a.m., deputies were called to a rollover accident near State Highway 210 and County Highway 75 in Oak Valley Township. There, they allegedly located the uninjured James Kent Nelson, 55, the sole occupant of a rolled truck.
Nelson allegedly appeared to be intoxicated, and deputies allegedly learned that the truck had been stolen out of Dilworth the previous evening. Nelson was arrested for DWI and driving with a suspended license, and local law enforcement expects charges for motor vehicle theft out of Clay County.
