BATTLE LAKE – The Ashby Arrows fell behind early and were unable to recover as the hosting Battle Lake Battlers took a Little Eight Conference match in three sets (10-25, 16-25, 23-25) Tuesday night.

“This group of girls work hard each and every point,” Arrows coach Brenda Johnson said. “I am very pleased with how they go out on that floor match after match and give it everything they have. Win or loose this team has a lot of heart.”

Ashby’s Meg Roley led the attack recording eight kills, while teammate Paige Nelson tallied 13 digs in the loss.

The Arrows will travel to Underwood Thursday to take on the Rockets in another LEC battle beginning at 7:30 p.m.
