No one was injured Tuesday morning when a school bus sideswiped a car outside of Perham. No students were on the bus at the time.

The accident occurred shortly after 7 a.m. at the intersection of U.S. Highway 10 and State Highway 78, the Minnesota State Patrol reported.

Gerald Wiese, 61, of Battle Lake, was stopped facing north on 78, waiting to turn, when Larry Grieger, 58, of New York Mills, approached the intersection heading west in a school bus.

Grieger also stopped, but when Wiese began to turn onto 10, Grieger started to turn onto 78, hitting the right rear of Wiese’s car.

Grieger was cited for failing to yield.
