The Red Cross Bloodmobile was in Fergus Falls on Sept. 19, 20, and 21.

The Bloodmobile coordinators truly appreciate the donors who came in those days, especially the first-time donors. 180 units of whole blood were collected.

Also, 43 double red cell donors gave their time to make an outstanding donation.

This is a total of 265 units of blood. We want to thank those who came from out of town to donate at our Fergus Falls Bloodmobile. Many are blessed with the gift of life because you have taken the time to give and care.

Thank you to the National Guard Amory for the use of their facility, Lake Region Healthcare maintenance crew for help unloading and loading equipment, Pat Griffin and Sentence-to-Serve for taking down tables and chairs, Otter Tail Telcom for use of a cell phone, Lakes Radio, The Daily Journal, The Battle Lake Review and the Shopping News for there publicity. We also thank our dependable volunteers who delivered posters, called donors and worked at the Bloodmobile, and those who baked and made food. Service Food, Café 116 and Premier Meats & Seafood deserve a big ‘thank you” for donating towards our meals to the workers. We three coordinators could not do this Bloodmobile without you.

Put on your calendar now that our next drive will be Jan. 16, 17 and 18, 2013. Please call us in January to offer to donate blood.

“Give Blood, Give Life.”
