EAST GRAND FORKS – The Fergus Falls boys soccer team ended their season Thursday night as a tough East Grand Forks team shutout the Otters 4-0 in the Section 8A playoffs.

Neither team could get anything going in the first half of play. The Otters were aggressive and had several opportunities to score, but could not finish. Both teams entered the break looking for a goal

In the second half, the Green Wave took control of the game scoring four unanswered goals. The Otters were able to get back into the groove of the first half late, but they were unable to rally.

“We really played well in the first half, and the last 20 minutes of the game.” Otter coach Beau Krueger said. “I thought all of the seniors really played hard tonight.”

The Otters finish their season with a 1-14-2 record and will host their annual awards banquet on Oct. 25th.
